When you clean windows you will always be doing some kind of detailing. You always need to detail the edges where the glass and frame meet when window cleaning. If you are doing French pane windows then plan on doing a lot of detailing in which case you are going to need a lot of detailing towels. French pane take a lot of effort and resources to clean the windows.
The most common detailing towel for Oceanside window cleaning and perhaps the most used is the Huck towel or surgical towels. These type of towels are great because they are lint free and do not leave lint or other particles on the glass when you wipe with them. The more these towels are used and washed the better they get for detailing over time.
There are other types of detailing towels like the micro fiber towel and the scrim but the Huck towel is the cheapest and typically works the best. Some window cleaners love the scrim as it’s a rather large towel that some window cleaners can use for a much longer time and can usually get by with three or four towels for a San Diego window cleaning job. I personally prefer the Huck towels as they are easier to manage based on size. Also as you are detailing you are typically transferring dirt onto the rag from the surface of the glass. Once your rag has too much dirt or wet spots on the rag its time to switch to a new rag otherwise you will streak or smudge the glass while doing Escondido window cleaning.
There are a lot of surface area to the scrim but that can get hard to manage as you will be looking over a larger area to find dry clean spots to detail the windows. The micro fiber towels used for Carlsbad window cleaning don’t seem to pick up the water as well, hey are also very expensive. You my try buying one and see if it works for your window cleaning business and then decide.
